CUSTOM DESIGN

  • This varies greatly depending on a lot of factors:

    • the cover design style – there are different processes to create cover art: by mixing photography or by creating a vector based illustration.

    • your publishing deadline

    • the availability of matching stock photography

    • whether character creation is part of your project

    The base cost of the cover design starts at 450 USD and the final fee of a project is calculated depending on the amount of work needed to create the kind of cover art that you desire, and the extra items that you’d like to add on (i.e paperback wrap, promo images, etc). Therefore the cost of each project needs to be calculated independently, but it will always be transparent and included in the quote I send before you decide to work with me.

  • When you decide you’d like to start your cover design project, simply fill out the order form located on the contact page. Please offer as many details as possible – they are essential in my correct estimation of budget and turnaround time. Feel free to mention any book covers you find inspiring as well, as this will help me better understand what kind of design style you favor for your own project. Once I receive your e-mail I will prepare a custom quote that carefully matches your project. If you agree on the quote, we can move forward to the invoicing step.

  • Yes, I can offer you a complete publishing-ready set of templates once the cover design is complete.

  • Yes, the paperback includes the entire cover design.

  • Yes, the final, publishing-ready files are compatible with the guidelines of your publisher of choice.

  • A typical project consists of 1 initial draft design. This may vary according to your budget and needs. Additional cover concepts require an extra fee. However, most authors love the design right from the start.

  • It depends on how booked I am. Once you’ve signed the contract and paid the deposit, you can schedule yourself into my calendar to the nearest month that is available (I only book three months in advance). You will receive the first draft sometime in the month that you schedule. It typically takes 1-2 weeks from the day you receive the draft design to finalize the project. If you are in a rush, I could possibly schedule you in faster, but this will require a rush fee. You can contact me for more details.

  • Each concept is unique therefore the number of revisions each project receives depends on a lot of factors such as: how elaborate the project is, what the client’s wishes are, the estimated budget and the publishing deadline. Usually, 2 or 3 rounds of revisions are all it takes to polish a cover design and bring it in its publishing-ready format. More than 3 rounds of revisions will require an extra fee. Note: a set of revisions does not include a complete redesign of the chosen concept or a completely new design.

  • I accept PayPal as the safest and securest method of payment as well as credit or debit cards through Stripe. Please take into consideration that each payment method requires a transfer fee that is not included in the project’s flat fee. The transfer fee varies depending on your chosen payment method, the overall project budget and your country of residence.

  • Yes, a 1/3 (or 33%) of the quote total is required upfront to book a slot in my schedule. You will receive an invoice for the deposit through my invoicing system.

  • You can cancel the project at any time you wish. If the cancellation is requested immediately before receiving the first drafts and no payment has been made, then no cancellation fee is charged, but the depost is non-refundable.

  • If you would like the cover art to include stock images that are available for purchase, stock photos from depositphotos.com are included. Alternatively, you can supply these images if you’ve already purchased the rights of use. If you’d like stock photos from a different site, you will need to purchase them yourself.

  • All images, photographs, vector art, fonts and other design elements that can be found online are subject to copyright and cannot be used without purchasing a license of use first.

  • Yes, I can take on a rush order depending on the situation, just get in touch with me. A rush fee is required and the cost will depend on the circumstances, but typically $50-$100.

PREMADE COVERS

  • You will get the first cover 24-48 hours from when I receive your email, but please bear in mind that I don’t work on the weekends, and that I am located in Atlanta, GA (Eastern Time).

  • Yes, of course! You don’t need all the details to purchase the premade. You can e-mail me when you’re ready for me to make any changes.

  • I do minor revisions for no charge (changing eye color, changing typography to fit author branding, etc). Only 1 major revision is allowed for an extra charge and I will only make the change if I believe it’ll improve the design. Always get in touch with me in regards to revisions before purchasing!
